You might have detected a possible bug with MSP430F20xx silicon.
For your information: I was getting a feedback of our quality experts. They confirmed the there is a limitation for this product. The following information will be included into next User Manual Update:
The duration of a program cycle (30 x TFTG) must be longer than half a MCLK period.
