+ на излёте Agilent предложил IrSimple. IrSimple protocol can improve IrDA transfer rate tremendously compared to existing IrDA protocol which used widely in many IrDA-enabled mobile devices. This improvement is achieved by increasing protocol efficiency. The faster and simpler method of data communications helps shorten time to exchange mobile contents as the mobile contents become larger in size to accommodate the needs of high resolution picture files, music files (mp3, wma) and video files (avi, wmv, 3gp).
The implementation of IrSimple protocol helps to acheive IrDA throughput by 70% to 90%. At a specific data rate of FIR (4Mbps), existing IrDA protocol might achieve data transfer rate at approximately 2Mbps but with IrSimple protocol, the same FIR can achieve up to 3.6Mbps which is 90% throughput.
