Ещё вопрос: если потребуется вдвое бОльшее разрешение ШИМ (при инерционности нагрузки > 200 тактов ШИМ), то может "играться" коэффициентом заполнения, скажем так: 3999-4000-3900 перезагружая CCx register в перерывании от PWM? Перезагрузка планируется каждый такт. Судя по описанию у Xmega буфер, которой обновляет содержимое Сompаre Register (СCx) именно в тот момент "когда надо" Цитата (XMEGA AU [MANUAL] page 171):

The compare buffer register provides double buffer capability equivalent to that for the period buffer. The double buffering synchronizes the update of the CCx register with the buffer value to either the TOP or BOTTOM of the counting sequence according to the UPDATE condition. The synchronization prevents the occurrence of odd-length, nonsymmetrical pulses for glitch-free output.
